Project Overview
The I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project is a part of the Oregon Department of Transportation’s comprehensive strategy to improve travel on I-5 through the Rose Quarter.
Based on current plans, the project is expected to impact 27 properties, including four complete acquisitions.
Other plans for the project include:
- A new highway cover over I-5 with new connecting streets and other improvements;
- A new bicycle and pedestrian bridge over I-5;
- Relocation of the I-5 southbound off-ramp from Vancouver/Broadway to the south; and
- Variable tolls for motorists using the new bridge.
The current timeline for the project includes the following pertinent dates:
- Currently, ODOT is completing the environmental review process for the project, which will likely finish by the spring of 2024.
- ODOT will continue refining plans for the project with property acquisitions and construction dependent on ODOT receiving final funding for the project.
