Project Overview
The Walker Road Project is a multi-phase road improvement development of NW Walker Road by Washington County. Phase 3 of the project includes improvements between 173rd Ave. and 185th Ave. on NW Walker Road.
Phase 3 of the project is expected to impact 16 properties, including the construction of sound walls on several properties.
Plans for the project include:
- Widening NW Walker Road to five lanes, including new bike lanes and sidewalks;
- New traffic signal at 178th Ave and Cambray Street, and new street lighting;
- Washington County is building sound walls between properties and NW Walker Road in an effort to mitigate the expanded roadway.
The current timeline for the project includes the following pertinent dates:
- Construction is expected to start in the summer of 2024
- Construction is slated to finish by the fall of 2026.
